Course Outline: Market Technology - Exam Practise & Revision

A. Course Description
This course first reviews concepts related to software design and project management, including discussions of prototyping, software testing, refactoring and documentation. Then, the course will proceed with a complete overview of CTSD Technology Exam and students will practice answering questions from past exams. Correct solutions will be worked out and discussed as a review of the body of knowledge. Strategies for test taking will also be presented.

B. Method of Instruction
This course consists of two, seven hour days of lecture and classroom discussion, including sample questions.

DAY 1
- Review of Trading System Development Methodology and documentation

- Prototyping, data cleaning and software testing and refactoring

- Overview and breakdown of the CTSD Technology Exam

- ISO C/C++ test questions

DAY 2
- .NET and automated trading system design test questions

- SQL and databases test questions

- Hardware, networking, and development methodology test questions

- Practice test
