Qualification and Training in Automated Trading Systems

In association with the Institute for Market Technology (i4MT) in Chicago, the Technical Analyst is now offering the Certificate in Trading Systems Development (CTSD) - the only comprehensive training program and qualification in automated trading system development.

The syllabus covers three main areas – Market Technology, Quantitative Finance and Trading Strategy – and will instruct students in all aspects of building an automated trading system, including strategy discovery, data analysis, backtesting, optimisation, programming and system architecture.

The qualification takes between six months and two years to complete and can be based entirely on the manuals through self-study and the support of tutors. Alternatively, there is a series of nine two-day training courses designed to help students familiarise themselves with the syllabus and prepare for the exams.
