Jeremy Armitage - State Street Global Markets
Jeremy Armitage, CFA is Senior Managing Director and Global Head of Research at State Street Global Markets. His team is renowned for their research in the fields of investor behavior and portfolio & risk management, which is regularly published in academic and practitioner journals, such as the Journal of Financial Economics, the Journal of Portfolio Management and the Financial Analysts Journal. Jeremy has been at the forefront of establishing State Street's research agenda, having been appointed Managing Director and Head of State Street Associates in August 2000 and promoted to Senior Managing Director in September 2006.
Michelle Baddeley - Cambridge University
Michelle Baddeley is a Fellow and Director of Studies (in Economics) at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge. Her teaching and research interests include behavioural and experimental economics and she's currently working with Cambridge neuroscientists on a Leverhulme Trust funded project investigating the neurological and psychological correlates of herding behaviour in financial markets.
George Bulkley - University of Exeter
George Bulkley is a Professor of Financial Economics at The School of Business & Economics at the University of Exeter. His research areas are the performance of financial markets, with a particular interest in earnings expectations, the econometric modeling of company earnings and the response of markets to profit warnings. He has a PhD in Economics from Berkeley and has previously taught at University of British Columbia, London School of Economics, University of Sydney and the University of Adelaide.
Greg Davies - Barclays Wealth
Greg Davies leads a team specialised in Decision Sciences, developing and implementing commercial applications drawing on both the psychology of judgment and decision making, and behavioural economics. Greg holds an MPhil in Economics and a PhD in Behavioural Decision Theory, both from Cambridge University. He remains active in academia, holding an Honorary Research Fellowship in Psychology at UCL.
Andy Moniz - Macquarie Securities
Andy Moniz is a Senior Quantitative Analyst within the Global Quantitative Research group at Macquarie. His research interests have focused on event driven studies, stock selection strategies, style and thematic research. The Quantitative Research group comprises 22 analysts globally, with teams operating in all the major equity market regions. Andy began his career at the Bank of England before working within fundamental research at Credit Suisse and as a quantitative analyst at Citigroup.
Trevor Neil - Betagroup
Trevor Neil is director of Betagroup and principal trainer for the Technical Analyst magazine. He became a commodities trader at Merrill Lynch in the mid 1970’s before going on to work at LIFFE giving technical analysis support to floor traders. In 2000 he became head of technical analysis at Bloomberg where he was responsible for training and technical analysis software development.
Michael Schoenhart - BAWAG PSK Invest
Michael Schoenhart, CFA, FRM is a Senior Quantitative Portfolio Manager at the Quantitative Research group at BAWAG PSK Invest. Additionally, he is teaching investment theory at the University of Applied Sciences, Vienna. His research and teaching areas are agent-based computational economics, market anomalies, and behavioural finance. He holds a PhD in Psychology and Artificial Intelligence from the University of Vienna and an MSc in Finance from the University of British Columbia. Michael has many years of professional experience in the investment industry and is currently developing and managing systematic trading strategies for mutual funds.
