Stephen Aikin
Stephen Aikin has over 20 years financial markets experience, mainly in derivatives. He has worked at Kleinwort Grieveson, Credit Suisse and SBCI, principally as an equity options specialist. Stephen specialises in relative value trading, exploiting the relationships between financial instruments, principally in the field of interest rates and fixed income. He delivers regular training courses at major banks and is the author of “Trading STIR Futures – An introduction to short term interest rate futures” (published by Harriman House).
Matthew Clements - Editor, The Technical Analyst
Matthew Clements is editor of the Technical Analyst magazine. Previously he worked in the City for Prebon Yamane where he was head of market research, publishing fundamental and technical analysis to the firm’s clients. He holds a BSc and MSc in Economics from the University of London and is a member of the Society of Technical Analysts (MSTA).
Robin Griffiths, Technical Analyst - Cazenove Capital Management
Robin Griffiths joined Cazenove Capital Management in early 2008, prior to which he was head of asset allocation and technical research at private wealth management company, Rathbones, in London. Robin was previously with HSBC Investment Bank and is one of the global financial markets best known and most respected technical analysts.
Neil Heywood - Matrix Trading Systems
Neil Heywood is a director of Matrix Trading Systems, a UK company specializing in the evaluation of trading strategies using a proprietary database and evaluation engine with extensive data on US equities, options and futures. His main focus is on long-term statistical arbitrage techniques. Previously he was founder and CEO of Quadstone Ltd, which builds predictive modelling software for retail banks.
Avi Hooper - Portfolio Manager, Invesco
Avi Hooper is fixed income portfolio manager at Invesco in London. Prior to joining Invesco, Avi was emerging market debt fund manager at Blackfriars Asset Management (previously called WestLB Mellon Asset Management), where he advised on technical analysis across multiple asset classes including emerging market equities, fixed income, commodities and currencies.
Bruce Kamich
Bruce Kamich - academic, practitioner and author - brings over 35 years of experience in commodities, global fixed income, and equities. Bruce Kamich joined one of the world's largest brokerage firms in 2004 and co-authors their widely circulated technical market letter. He is author of the book "Chart Patterns" (Bloomberg, 2009) and a professor at Baruch College.
Andy Moniz - Macquarie Securities
Andy Moniz is a Senior Quantitative Analyst within the Global Quantitative Research group at Macquarie. His research interests have focused on event driven studies, stock selection strategies, style and thematic research. The Quantitative Research group comprises 22 analysts globally, with teams operating in all the major equity market regions. Andy began his career at the Bank of England before working within fundamental research at Credit Suisse and as a quantitative analyst at Citigroup.
Trevor Neil - Betagroup
Trevor Neil became a commodities trader at Merrill Lynch in the mid 1970’s before going on to work at LIFFE giving technical analysis support to floor traders. In 2000 he became head of technical analysis at Bloomberg where he was responsible for training and technical analysis software development. He is principal trainer for the Technical Analyst.
Paul Netherwood - Beach Horizon
Paul Netherwood is a founding partner of Beach Horizon LLP, a London-based managed futures programme (CTA). Working with fellow founders David Beach and head of trading Sanjeev Lakhanpal, he is responsible for research and is the original developer of the firm's systematic trading systems. Previously, he worked in trading and risk management system development at Beach Capital Management, AHL, Nomura and Deutsche Bank.
Alain Ruttiens - NEURON sàrl
Allain Ruttiens is a partner and asset manager at Luxembourg-based hedge fund NEURON sàrl. Prior to this he was director of financial engineering at CBC Banque in Brussels where he launched an interest rates options desk and managed the structured products department. Prior to joining CBC Banque, Mr Ruttiens worked at the former Banque Indosuez in Belgium, where he pioneered derivatives activities in Brussels with the launching of a currency options desk. He is Professeur Affilié at Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris.
Rashpal Sohan - Rathbones
Rashpal Sohan graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science with a first class degree in Actuarial Science. He joined Rathbone Brothers Plc in 2005 as an asset allocation analyst working with Robin Griffiths, the head of asset allocation. He specialises in the use of quantitative techniques in the analysis of global markets, with particular emphasis on building models for system trading and investment purposes.
Lars Steffensen - Ebullio Capital Management
Lars Steffensen is the Managing Director of the Commodity Trading Group at Ebullio Capital Management and is in charge of the team managing The Commodity Fund. Lars Steffensen has 21 years of experience in the commodity industry including time with Next Energy Inc. in Newport Beach, CA where he built on his remarkable track record of impressive returns in commodity trading and rose to Senior Partner in charge of commodities.
Gerben de Zwart - ING Investment Management
Gerben joined ING Investment Management in October 2007. He is a Senior Quantitative Analyst in the Systematic Investment Strategies department. He joined ING Investment Management from Robeco, where he served as Senior Quantitative Researcher in their Quantitative Strategies Department. Gerben earned his Master's degree in Technical Mathematics from Delft Technical University and his Ph.D. in Empirical Finance from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University Rotterdam.
